About Hannah Gray

Joined Emerge in Jan 2026

Degree: She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Georgia, and she is in her final semester of pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.

Hannah’s professional journey began at a program dedicated to serving victims of family violence, where she gained meaningful experience supporting survivors. She went on to spend nearly 7 years working in the foster care system. During that time, she learned so much from the foster children, foster families, and biological families she served. Through hearing about the hard work these individuals did with their counselors, she began to recognize how the experiences that happen to us and around us can shape our understanding of the world and influence the ways we interact with it. Hannah noticed this to be true in her own life and began attending and benefiting from therapy personally. This ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in counseling. Hannah’s passion for this work is also connected to seeing loved ones throughout her life navigate addiction and their mental health. She is grateful for the ways therapy continues to shape her journey and finds meaning in helping others navigate their own. Hannah considers it an honor to walk alongside the clients at Emerge Healing Center as they seek the next right thing, one step at a time.

Hannah Beyond Her Work

When she’s not at Emerge, Hannah enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, neighborhood walks with her husband, traveling, time spent with family, thrifting, and connecting with friends…probably over a cup of coffee or chips and salsa. Her favorite movie is the holiday classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, which she would watch with her late grandmother around Christmas growing up, a tradition she continues to cherish.
