Helen-Grace Scott’s Education
Certifications & Accreditations
After her formal schooling, Helen-Grace has continued to expand her knowledge and training in the mental health and addiction treatment field. She has engaged in furthering her abilities by becoming a licensed Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and a certification as a National Certified Counselor (NPC).
In Helen-Grace’s own words:
“During my clinical internship year, I worked as a Family Program Intern at a residential substance use treatment center. After a few days of sitting in groups and hearing the stories from the client’s families, I quickly realized that I had grown up within a family system affected by addiction. I couldn’t believe that I had lived most of my life without the knowledge of the impact of the family disease of addiction. After working with clients and their family members, and engaging in an Al-Anon 12-step program for myself, I can’t imagine working in any other field.”-Helen-Grace Scott
